Who are Mynewt Enterprises ?

Mynewt Enterprises is the brainchild of Vic Taylor, who worked as a professional in the field of Environmental Education at the prestigious Capel Manor Environmental Centre in Theobalds Park for nearly 25 years. Prior to this Vic was an R.S.P.C.A. Senior Clinic Manager. Vic has always been particularly interested in cold blooded animals and for 10 years was the Honorary Education Officer of the British Herpetological Society.

He was one of the original members of the B.H.S. Conservation Committee and also set up the B.H.S. Education Committee, on which he still serves as Administrative Officer. In 1994 he was made redundant and decided to use his redundancy money to set up a business to pioneer and develop "Educational Entertainment" and to offer specialist help and advice to schools and colleges.

What is "Educational Entertainment"?
Most of Vic's teaching has been based on the principle that learning is a multi-sensory activity which should be an enjoyable experience. Those who take themselves too seriously would not agree, but Vic believes that there is often only a very thin line between education and entertainment. To the teacher, and Vic is a qualified teacher, every lesson is like a carefully prepared performance for which student/audience participation and enjoyment are valid objectives if effective learning is to take place.
